Adrian Punaks joins More Partnership

01 November 2021

We are delighted to announce that respected advancement professional Adrian Punaks will join More Partnership as a Partner from 1 January 2022.

Adrian brings extensive leadership experience, and helped to drive one of Europe’s largest and most successful fundraising campaigns. Over twenty years he has developed a deep understanding of effective practice across every aspect of fundraising and supporter engagement, as well as experience of nurturing and leading large, high-performing teams.

Most recently, he was Executive Director of Development at University College London, leading advancement activity in a department of around 85 people, incorporating fundraising, alumni relations, communications and development operations. He was integral to the design and delivery of the It’s All Academic £600m campaign, which closed early in 2020 having exceeded the target and achieving over 260,000 volunteering hours. Critical to this success was the way in which Adrian built trusted relationships with institutional leaders, senior volunteers, global philanthropists and high-profile academics and clinicians.

Adrian began his career at Birkbeck, University of London, where he helped establish the College’s first development function (this also marked his first engagement with colleagues at More Partnership). He continued to build his career in individual and major giving at Imperial College London, before returning to Birkbeck in 2007 to lead the highly successful development and alumni relations teams.

During this time, in 2010, Adrian was awarded the inaugural Iain More Award which recognises the outstanding achievements of a development professional. He has also contributed extensively to insights and training across the philanthropy sector, not least through this work with CASE – including in his current role on the CASE Commission on Philanthropy and through the Spring Institute in Educational Fundraising (including three years as Chair).

Adrian said: “I’ve been fortunate to know the brilliant people at More from the very beginnings of my career and have always admired the company’s values, philosophy and approach. I am excited to now join them as a Consulting Partner and work with the variety of exceptional clients who choose More to help realise their ambitions.”

Nik Miller, Business Partner at More, said: “We are thrilled that Adrian is joining our community of partners. The company, and the clients we collaborate with, will benefit hugely from his expertise, thoughtfulness, approachability – and his purpose-driven approach to philanthropy.”
