Like many fundraisers, I came into this profession by accident – in my case through a love of theatre which led to the Development department at the National Theatre. And what a happy and rewarding accident it’s been. For over 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of helping make it possible for brilliant, talented people to do extraordinary things; of helping charities change the world for the better; and of ensuring donors feel great about being part of that change.

I’m a very curious person. I love getting right into the heart of things and learning all about what people are doing and why. But I also love helping clients step away from the detail and look at the bigger picture. When you take a step back, all sorts of interesting patterns and connections begin to emerge. There’s no greater feeling than when a client says I’ve helped them see things in a new way.
