It has been incredible to witness the transformation in attitudes towards philanthropy that has taken place over the last three decades. Giving is now mainstream, understood, thoughtful, evolving, widespread and newsworthy for both positive and more controversial reasons. It’s just what many of us do, to the extent that we are able. We see organisations large and small, in countries across the world, making amazing things happen by building successful, sustainable giving and communities of friends and donors who share a vision for a better future. What a privilege it is to be a part of this in some small way, helping to create and share the knowledge and best practice that results in so many lives being richer, more fun, more liveable.
