7 June 2017
Talented fundraising leader joins More after
a successful campaign at University of East Anglia.
Graeme brings leadership, strategic, campaign, research and major gift expertise; along with a track record of success over 15 years in the higher education and charity sectors. He has a deep knowledge of best practice across all aspects of fundraising and supporter engagement, as well as experience of developing and leading high-performing teams.
Graeme joined More on 1 June from the University of East Anglia (UEA), where he spent the last nine years, most recently as Director of Development.
Development at UEA has flourished under his leadership. In 2013, the University launched its first institutional fundraising campaign since the 1960s – The Difference Campaign – with a goal of raising £50 million. This milestone was successfully reached at the end of 2016, a year ahead of schedule, and a second phase of the Campaign was announced last year with a £100m goal by 2020.
Prior to UEA, also his alma mater, Graeme led fundraising teams for a number of charities, as Head of Fundraising at both The Papworth Trust and Ormiston Children & Families Trust.
Graeme has been an Associate Partner at More Partnership for over six years. During this time he has successfully worked with an array of clients including: the Africa Research Excellence Fund; Brighton Dome and Festival; l’Institut des Hautes Études Scientifique; Keble College, Oxford; The Palestinian Museum; Sheffield Hallam University; University College London and The University of Edinburgh.
Graeme is also Founder of Lagotto Solutions, a company helping universities across the globe to better understand and widen their pools of alumni donors. He will continue his work for Lagotto Solutions, alongside his role at More.
Graeme said, “I have always admired More Partnership’s passion and belief in the power of philanthropy to create a better world. It’s a belief I share. I’m thrilled to be joining them and very much look forward to working with a range of clients across a range of sectors, helping them to achieve their ambitions.”
Rebecca Rendle, Managing Partner at More Partnership said, “We are excited that Graeme has come on board as a Partner. He brings a wealth of talent, energy and experience to our team, adding further to the depth and breadth of what we offer.”
Graeme started his role with More Partnership on 1 June 2017, based in the UK. You can contact him by email on gbyrne@morepartnership.com or connect with him on LinkedIn.
