Siôn Lutley joins More Partnership

15 July 2016

More Partnership is pleased to announce that Siôn Lutley will be joining as a Partner at the end of the year.

Siôn will bring leadership, strategic, campaign and principal gift expertise with an international perspective; along with an enviable track record of success over 25 years of being involved in some of the most successful philanthropic campaigns in the charitable, cultural and tertiary sectors. He has a deep knowledge of best practice across all aspects of fundraising and supporter engagement as well as experience of developing and leading large high-performing teams in both the UK and Australia.

Siôn is currently Executive Director Advancement and Deputy Vice-Principal (Advancement) at the University of Melbourne having for the past five years played a key role in Believe - the Campaign for the University of Melbourne - which was launched publicly in 2013 with a goal of raising AU$500 million.

This milestone was successfully reached at the end of 2015, two years ahead of schedule, and a second phase of the Campaign was announced earlier this year with dual goals of raising AU$1 billion and actively engaging with 100,000 alumni. This is the first AU$1 billion campaign in Australia and is the largest in the Asia Pacific region.

Prior to his arrival in Australia, Siôn was Director of Development & Alumni Relations at the University of Bath, his alma mater, for five years during which time the team received the Times Higher Education Outstanding University Fundraising Team of the Year Award.

Previously, Siôn was Deputy and Acting Director of Development & Alumni Relations at the University of Bristol during the later stages of the University’s first major campaign, the Campaign for Resource, which raised £89 million and led into the quiet phase of the University’s £100 million Centenary Campaign. He was also Development Director for a major capital appeal for one of the UK’s major Millennium projects, At-Bristol, and worked on the NSPCC’s (National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children) groundbreaking £250 million Full Stop Appeal.

Siôn said, “I have always admired More Partnership, not just for the tremendous depth of expertise that its team possesses but for the way they go about their business; for their integrity, passion and belief in the power of philanthropy to create a better world. I’m delighted to be joining them and very much look forward to working with a range of clients across a range of sectors in the UK, Australia and elsewhere to help them maximise their impact.”

Rebecca Rendle, Managing Partner at More Partnership said “We are excited that Siôn is joining More. His commitment to effective philanthropy is second to none, demonstrated by his successful leadership of one of today’s most ambitious university campaigns. He brings impressive depth and richness of experience across charitable sectors and borders and will make an outstanding addition to our international team of consultants.”

Siôn will be starting his role full-time with More Partnership in January 2017, based in the UK. You can contact him by email on slutley@morepartnership.com or connect with him on LinkedIn.
